Volunteer at Nelson Tasman Hospice
Volunteers play an essential role at Nelson Tasman Hospice and work as part of the team to deliver the highest quality of care and support to patients and their whānau.
People volunteer for a variety of reasons. Some have had a personal connection and want to give something back; others want to be involved in a cause that interests them; others want to meet people and feel more involved in our community. The volunteer team at Hospice reflect the diversity of the Nelson Tasman community, and so it is important for Hospice to support peoples interests, and to make sure enjoy their volunteer experience with us.
Hospice recognises that people have different lifestyles and some may wish to volunteer but cannot commit to being available all the time. This can be catered for on three levels – one-off projects, short-term opportunities, and flexible “Bounce Back” opportunities for those living locally but are away for extended periods.
Nelson Tasman Hospice genuinely appreciate the gift of time and talent from all Hospice volunteers and are committed to offering a volunteer experience that is enjoyable, interesting and rewarding. It is a privilege to have such a willing and dedicated team, and are always keen to hear from people who might want to get involved.
