Workshop: Emergencies in Palliative Care (Clinical Skills) Thursday 14 May 2026

The clinical skills series is for Health Care Professionals and for care workers caring for clients either in Aged Residential Care, a General Hospital or community setting who have primary palliative care needs.
This education session provides learning which maintains and enhances knowledge, skills and practice around Te Ara Whakapiri – care in the last days of life.
In this presentation we will cover:
- Highlight a range of emergencies and focus on some
- Increase your awareness of people potentially at risk
- Increase capacity to identify emergencies
- Increase awareness of consequences
- Increase confidence in articulating assessment and findings, to obtain appropriate attention, investigations and therapy
- Increase knowledge of how they can be managed
