Dying to Know about Dying Matters?

September 19 @ 9:00 am - 12:30 pm

Please note, this is a FREE workshop available to the public and is not designed for health professionals to attend.

Many people find it difficult to talk about dying, yet dying is an important stage of life and is inevitable.

We plan for the birth of a child, yet when it comes to the end of life, we don’t often want to think , or talk about it.

Come along to our workshop and find out more about dying matters, how an Advance Care Planning (ACP)can benefit you and your family/whānau and what to expect at the end of life.

Having a plan outlines our care preferences for the future. Having an Advance Care Plan (ACP) that aligns with our beliefs and values, is a gift that we can give to our family / whānau.

We will explore:

  • Why is it hard to talk about death and dying?
  • What to expect when someone is dying
  • Supports available
  • Advance care planning processes
