Richmond Mall Fundraising
From 19-21st May, the Richmond Mall were among the first local businesses to support Nelson Tasman Hospice and their new annual appeal ‘Hands Up For Hospice‘.
The Richmond Mall supported Hospice in getting our message out. Having three tables set up in the Richmond Mall during this time was a fantastic opportunity to shine a spotlight on the service and its need for support. It’ absolutely vital to have community support, so that we can continue to provide free specialist palliative care in the Nelson Tasman Region.
A team of volunteers, fundraisers, nurses, social workers, administration and maintenance colleagues, and management took the time to sit at these tables. They talked to passers-by about the service they are so passionate about, which was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the community that we are so deeply connected to.
In the area next to Fresh Choice, we were able to display the videos taken by Hospice New Zealand for Hospice Awareness Week. They feature Dr. Lea Galvin, Clinical Services Manager at Nelson Tasman Hospice, and Simon Starr, a long-term supporter of Nelson Tasman Hospice. Powerful stories, sitting next to powerful messages, with a clear call to action; You can support Nelson Tasman Hospice by donating or hosting a fundraiser.
During these three days, the team were able to fundraise $3,850! 100% of the funds raised while we were there will go towards providing specialist palliative care in our region.
