Grochem – Supporting 10 days of care for Nelson Tasman Hospice and the Horticulture community.
Life threatening illnesses such as cancer and heart disease are a big part of everyday life within our community, although most of time unseen in daily life. It is not until we are directly involved personally or someone close to us is, that we begin to understand the journey – and the crucial and unsung heroes at our side, Hospice services.
For the past two years Grochem have been donating to Nelson Tasman Hospice and Cranford Hospice Hawkes Bay – key centres where our team, customers and colleagues live and work. This October, Grochem took the opportunity again to show their support for the Nelson Tasman Hospice Days of Care campaign and will be donating $10,000 to support their vital work in the community.
Within our own team at Grochem many of us have experienced first-hand how cancer can impact our family and friends. It is not until this happens that we see how the Hospice team of Doctors, Nurses and counselling services move to support us in these times of need.
It was three years ago when we lost a mate Stu Covell – Mr Apple Manager at Apple Waites Orchard Hawkes Bay. The loss of Stu sparked Grochem’s support of Nelson Tasman and Cranford Hospice Hawkes Bay, and this has become one small way that Grochem can give back to our horticulture community.
We would like for you to join us in supporting the work of the Nelson Tasman Hospice, by donating to this wonderful campaign of Days of care.
