Fundamentals of Palliative Care Online Modules

October 29 @ 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

As healthcare workers, we play a vital role in supporting people with palliative care needs. This means being prepared to provide ongoing assessment, recognising changes as illness progresses, and responding with compassion and skill.

Learning about palliative care can make a real difference, not only for the people in our care, but also for their family and whānau, and for us as healthcare professionals. It improves assessment, communication, and overall outcomes. This is a free Hospice New Zealand Fundamentals of Palliative Care programme and designed to help you build a strong understanding of the essence and principles of palliative care, so you feel prepared and confident when caring for people in Aotearoa New Zealand at the end of life.
