From today, all Farmers stores across Aotearoa will be raising funds for their local hospice…
Thank You for Remembering Hospice at Christmas

Last Christmas, thousands of people across Aotearoa supported hospice care through Farmers stores, raising an incredible $836,388 nationwide. This remarkable result reflects the strength of a long-standing partnership and the collective generosity of Farmers customers and staff.
Nelson Tasman Hospice received $23,043.25 thanks to the sales of the limited-edition bauble and donations made by customers who wrote messages to loved ones on the in-store “Trees of Remembrance” at Farmers Nelson and Farmers Richmond. The funds were collected between November 13 and December 24, 2025.

Nelson Tasman Hospice is deeply grateful for the ongoing support from both Farmers stores. The commitment they demonstrate, particularly during their busiest period of the year, does not go unnoticed. What they achieved is truly inspiring.
Complementing the Farmers campaign was the “Community Trees of Remembrance” initiative, running from 5 – 7 December 2025. Dedicated volunteers and community groups were stationed in Richmond, Stoke and Nelson for three days, offering people a meaningful way to honour loved ones while contributing to the work of Nelson Tasman Hospice.

$4881.10 was raised across the three locations over this time, bringing the total for both Trees of Remembrance campaigns to $27,924.35.
Every year, Nelson Tasman Hospice needs to raise more than $4M from the local community, to ensure over 210 patients and their whānau/families each month continue to receive free specialist palliative care across the region.
We extend our sincere thanks to all Farmers staff and customers, community groups, volunteers, and everyone who supported the Trees of Remembrance. Your generosity delivers real, meaningful impact for patients and their whānau.
As we do every year, the tags with messages for loved ones will be blessed and cremated in a special service, with the ashes spread in the hospice gardens.
