NBS renews sponsorship with Nelson Tasman Hospice
NBS is proud to continue its support of Nelson Tasman Hospice, announcing a renewed one-year partnership that will carry through to 2026.

During a recent visit to Nelson Tasman Hospice, NBS Chief Executive Gina Dellabarca reaffirmed NBS’ commitment to those providing end-of-life care.
“We’re honoured to partner with Nelson Tasman Hospice, knowing that our support makes a meaningful difference for patients and families during life’s most challenging moments. At NBS, we believe in providing comfort, dignity and compassion – and supporting Hospice reflects our values and mission to positively impact the communities we serve.”
NBS first partnered with Nelson Tasman Hospice in 2018 and their relationship has since grown into a long-term collaboration.
Nelson Tasman Hospice Chief Executive Tony Gray says NBS’ continued support reflects a partnership that has real impact: “Every year we must raise a shortfall of $4.5 million to ensure all our services remain free for anyone who needs them – so every dollar truly makes a difference. We are grateful to NBS and deeply value the long-standing relationship we share. Not only are they our banking provider, but they genuinely understand the importance of the care we deliver and the impact it has on patients and their whānau across our region.”
Beyond financial sponsorship, NBS plays an active role in community events. The organisation has been the naming rights sponsor for the biennial NBS Dancing for a Cause which raised a record-breaking total of $670,000 in 2025. Since its beginning, Dancing for a Cause has contributed $1,469,000 in support of the Nelson Tasman Hospice.
NBS have been serving the Nelson Tasman community for over 160 years, and this partnership is about more than sponsorship – it’s about sustaining relationships and supporting essential services that make a difference every day.
“When you support NBS, you support your community”, explains Gina. “Over the past 10 years, we’ve reinvested $8 million back into the communities we operate in. We’re your community asset and when you choose NBS, you help us keep that cycle going.”
