Thank You to the Rātā Foundation for Powering Our Hospice Behind the Scenes

For over two decades — from 2003 — the generosity of the Rātā Foundation has been instrumental in supporting patients and families across the Nelson Tasman region. We are immensely grateful for their sustained commitment, and especially for the $20,000 grant awarded earlier this year to Nelson Tasman Hospice.

Investing in Our Foundations

This grant directly supports the operational costs of our organisation. Enabling our clinical teams to do the amazing work they do for the community, takes an engine behind them. Our operational costs cover rudimentary day to day costs such as insurance, utility costs and payroll. Largely unseen costs which are essential to any organisation to enable them to continue to operate.

A Community Effort

We often say it takes a community to make hospice happen. The Rātā Foundation’s support is a clear example of compassionate community in action – over 20 years of kindness . Their ongoing partnership enables us to not only care for our community today, but supports us in being sustainable for the future of hospice care in Nelson Tasman region.
