Nelson Tasman Hospice are looking for a Registered Nurse who will be a dynamic Clinical Teams Coordinator to support the Clinical Nurse Lead (SPCU) and Clinical Nurse Specialist (Community) in providing clinical leadership, education and project coordination across the SPCU and Community teams.

This is an exciting opportunity to move into a senior support/leadership role within a passionate and motivated team who deliver excellent specialist palliative care to patients in the Nelson/Tasman region.

The role will provide the applicant with variety and an opportunity to develop leadership skills while working fluidly across our community and SPCU teams. No two days will be the same with the role requiring a combination of clinical leadership, workload prioritisation, education, clinical admin and project coordination. Hours of work are expected to be Mon, Tue, Thurs & Fri 8-4.30, however, additional hours may be required from time to time to cover leave.

Some things are an absolute must – you will need 5 years’ experience in specialist palliative care, with demonstrated collaborative team building skills. Ideally you will have a post graduate diploma in palliative care and PDRP Expert level, however, a commitment to working towards this will suffice. You will be able to inspire and motivate a team while working alongside them with your flexible and supportive approach.

Medical Typist/Clinical Admin Support
a part time role supporting our clinical team

This new part time position is an important addition to our clinical team.  Primarily the role will provide typing services for our Palliative Medicine Specialist and our medical team.  Broader administration support across the clinical team will be required from time to time.

You will be working alongside our SPCU administration support and report to our experienced Clinical Administration Coordinator.  Your previous administration experience in the health sector will be hugely helpful as you establish yourself in the role.  Experience using dictaphone and transcription equipment would be an advantage. You will have excellent computer skills, a wonderful phone manner and be able to successfully juggle multiple demands on your time.

CATERING ASSISTANT

The Catering Assistant supports our catering team with a range of tasks including preparing the breakfasts for our patients, and cooking for our in-house café.  Working four hours each week day morning (7.30-11.30) this is a lovely role for someone with experience in the food industry.  Additional hours to cover leave will be required from time to time.

You will already have a food hygiene certificate under your belt, or be willing to complete one.  You will also genuinely enjoy working in a team environment, and be able to roll with the punches in a busy environment where service and quality really matters.
