Nelson Tasman Hospice is a specialist palliative care hospice, which has been providing professional, quality care to people with a life-limiting illness in the region for 30 years.  Our staff are dedicated and passionate about our patients care, whether it be at their home or at our inpatient unit.

Catering Assistant

a part time role in our new home for hospice

The Hospice team have recently moved into a beautiful purpose-built new home, the building of which has been generously supported by the community it serves.

Our fantastic catering teamwork 7 days per week to prepare and serve meals to inpatients, as well as catering for our inhouse café, training, functions and events. The Catering Assistant will support the Catering Coordinator with a range of tasks and will generally work weekday mornings and the occasional evening or weekend shift. This is a lovely role for someone with experience in the food industry looking for 10-15 hours of work per week, with occasional additional hours by negotiation.

Our ideal candidate will already have a food hygiene certificate or be willing to complete one. You will also genuinely enjoy working in a team environment, and be able to roll with the punches in a busy environment where service and quality really matters.  Click here for a copy of the role description FINAL Role Description – Catering Assistant, January 2020

Palliative Care Registered Nurse (Casual)

We are looking for RN’s to join our casual pool & support our amazing nursing team.

This is your opportunity to be part of something special; to use your skills to make a tangible difference to someone’s life and that of their families/whānau.

Somethings are an absolute must – a current annual practising certificate, and a full driver’s licence.  A post grad certificate in palliative care is desirable, and a willingness to continue further education.
