DESCRIPTION:This Hospice Awareness Week we are asking our Nelson Tasman compassionate community to help us share the message that It’s Ok. \nIt’s Ok to enjoy life \nIt’s Ok to open up \nIt’s Ok to talk \nIt’s Ok to feel how you are feeling \nShow your support by sharing the stories of Hospice patients\, their friends and whānau which we will be posting on our social media this week. By sharing with your family\, friend groups or even colleagues\, you can help raise awareness of the impact that Nelson Tasman Hospice services have on 240 patients a month. \nYou can also donate here.

SUMMARY:Dancing for a Cause
DESCRIPTION:Nelson Dancing for a Cause is a Charitable Trust Board with it’s Trustees volunteering their time and working tirelessly with many other individuals and organisations in the Nelson/Tasman regions. \nTheir aim is to put on a spectacular show every two years and most importantly\, to raise needed funds for amazing local charities and organisations. We are supporting the Nelson Tasman Hospice in 2023. \nDancing for a Cause held its first event in May 2018 to a sold-out crowd at Nelson’s Trafalgar Centre\, raising $111\,000 for Nelson Tasman Hospice. \nThe 2021 event\, with the support of the amazing Nelson community\, raised an astonishing $248\,000. Thank you to the eight contestants and Nelson! \nThe 2023 event sees ten local personalities partnered each with a trained ballroom dancer. The contestants will perform a ballroom dance in front of a panel of judges and live audience in an attempt to be declared the Nelson Dancing for a Cause winner! \nWho will become the next Champion? \nMake sure you are there on the night to find out. \nYou can support your favourite contestant and follow their progress as they transform into dancing superstars at www.dancingforacause.co.nz. When you support your favourite contestant you will be directly supporting the Nelson Hospice and the wider Nelson/Tasman community.
