DESCRIPTION:As healthcare workers\, we play a vital role in supporting people with palliative care needs. This means being prepared to provide ongoing assessment\, recognising changes as illness progresses\, and responding with compassion and skill. \nLearning about palliative care can make a real difference\, not only for the people in our care\, but also for their family and whānau\, and for us as healthcare professionals. It improves assessment\, communication\, and overall outcomes.
