DESCRIPTION:Hospice is a free service for the people of Nelson Tasman\, but it comes at a cost. Play your part in helping raise much-needed funds for Nelson Tasman Hospice this May. \n\n\n\n\nNBS Hands Up For Hospice encourages the Nelson Tasman community to organise their own fundraising events\, big or small\, or to make a donation to support essential palliative care services in our community. \nYou can get involved in a variety of ways: \n\nHigh Teas for Hospice – Get together\, have fun & raise funds for Hospice Services. Acknowledge and celebrate someone you love.\nHost a High Tea for/with your friends\, family\, co-workers. Raise funds by charging a per head fee and/or running a raffle. You could have a guest speaker or arrange some goodie bags. You could choose a theme or colour\, make it a pot-luck or even a virtual event\, make it intimate or hire out the community hall! – how you do it is up to you!\nHeave for Hospice – A friendly competition between teams from local businesses\, sports groups & organisations. Engage your team\, showcase your brand\, acknowledge and celebrate someone you love. Heave for Hospice is a friendly competition (in both the physical heave and in fundraising!). It offers an opportunity to engage your team\, showcase your brand and celebrate a team or a team members family who has been supported by Nelson Tasman Hospice. However you choose to fundraise is up to you. It’s all in the name of a friendly bit of competition between your competitors fundraising for hospice. Encourage those businesses\, customers and suppliers that you work with to get behind your team!\nCreate your own event –Our compassionate community raise money for our service at all kinds of events throughout the year. From online craft auctions to putting up Halloween decorations\, to running a marathon\, hundreds of dollars has been raised for specialist palliative care in the Nelson Tasman Region from people using their unique talents\, creativity and donating their time and energy into making something wonderful from them. Do you have an idea that could help you put your Hands Up for Hospice this May?\nSales Fundraising- Stand out from the crowd plus give back – it’s a win-win! You can donate a portion of your sales to Nelson Tasman Hospice – a company or business of any size can make a difference! It could be 50 cents per coffee to $1000 if someone signs up to buy a new car or house or charge a premium letting people know that the donation is for Nelson Tasman Hospice. You might even choose to have a special flavour or product for the month of May dedicated to hospice. Every donation counts!
