SUMMARY:Starrs to Mont Blanc
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On the 31st May 2018\, the Starrs’s Mum\, loving wife and grandmother\, Alison Starr passed away after a battle with breast cancer. \nNelson Tasman hospice supported Alison throughout her illness and in her final days and hours. As a family\, the Starr’s have been active supporters and advocates for Hospice. In October 2019 Simon and Dean ventured to Everest Base Camp raising $19\,000\, and now in June\, they will take on Mont Blanc in the Alps to summit at 4807m. Just over half of the operational costs for Hospice come from government funding\, and the $3million funding shortfall comes from fundraising and community activities each year.
