An evening with Professor Merryn Gott – “Strengthening Carers”
March 1 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Professor Merryn Gott is Director of the Te Arai Palliative and End of Life Care Research Group based at the University of Auckland and has been researching palliative care issues for over 20 years.
She will provide an overview of the research that has been undertaken by the group over the last 5 years and what health professionals, hospitals and the community can do to better support family/whānau who care for people with limiting illnesses. Merryn will also argue that there is a real need to start a public discussion about what care we want for people with life limiting illness and their carers to look like in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
This will be of interest to all health professionals, carers and the whole community. Come and be inspired. Its a conversation our community needs to have.
