Palliative Care Services

Specialist Medical Care

Provided by our palliative care specialist and four Hospice medical officers at inpatient and outpatient clinics.  Your own GP can continue to care for you in the Hospice if you wish.

Home Nursing and Care Coordination

An experienced Hospice nurse will be your primary care coordinator. She or he will visit you in your home to discuss your needs and discuss the range of support services available. You and your family will be supported by your designated care co-ordinator who will also provide specialist advice and nursing care.

Hospice Unit

Sometimes people want to focus on the important things without worrying about the daily routine. The Hospice unit offers a calm and caring place for families to share quality time. Families are welcome to stay overnight if they wish. Currently, there are four ensuite bedrooms available if you need assistance with symptom control, relative relief and end stage care.  In 2008, we will be able to offer 10 ensuite rooms and a family room.
